Nearly 30 million people in slavery worldwide
The majority are forced to engage in the sex trade and in unskilled labour and almost all – 76% – are held in slavery in 10 countries: India, China, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Russia, Thailand, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
